My journey began in 1994, shortly after the birth of my son. I started twisting steel wire into book’markers while he was napping, and sold them in a friend’s North End shop. As fortune would have it, I was picked up by a sales rep who went on to sell my book’markers across the country. 200,000 pieces later, I’m still making book’markers, lol.
But twisting wire into fantastical shapes left me wanting more. So, I taught myself how to use a jeweler’s saw and a torch, and I never looked back. Found objects have been my focus since the beginning. Although these often-discarded objects have already lived a life, their potential to be part of something new and beautiful is what drives me forward.
